Background

Mannatech is a multinational company headquartered in the United States, focusing on developing and selling health nutrition products. In 2016, it entered the Chinese market via cross-border eCommerce. TMO previously localized the brand’s UX design, cross-border functionalities, user community activation, and invite-code registration system, etc.

Challenge

Mannatech has redefined its brand strategy for the WeChat ecosystem by enhancing the online shopping experience through Mini Programs and boosting member interaction. The revamp accelerated digital product iteration to deliver a superior membership experience.

As a global brand, Mannatech has established a strong presence in the Chinese market. TMO developed a scalable design system that ensures brand consistency while adapting to the preferences of Chinese users.

TMO assisted the client in revamping the entire brand visual identity and UI design system based on the existing website, delivering a more contemporary aesthetic. The platform was expanded to WeChat Mini Program, streamlining the new member referral process. Cross-Border eCommerce WeChat Mini Program​ for Health Supplements

The Mini Program adopts a modern design aligned with the new VI, featuring optimized UX elements such as enhanced cart accessibility—with multiple entry points across pages for seamless navigation. Additionally, the checkout process has been streamlined by reducing steps to improve conversion rates.

Social Commerce Upgrade​

The previous referral system was replaced with one-click sharing for products, shopping carts, and invite codes. Users can share content directly via the WeChat Mini Program or generate a shareable card to drive viral growth and brand advocacy.

Overall Visual Upgrade

Mannatech’s global VI was adapted to the Chinese audience’s preferences with a “nature-meets-technology” style. Visual appeal and brand recognition were enhanced through optimized colors, imagery, typography, and UI components.

Deployment & Maintenance Optimization​

Given Mannatech's high-traffic website. especially during promotional campaigns with significant traffic spikes. TMO optimized the deployment and maintenance processes to align with operational needs, preventing business disruption during system updates.
