Background

The client is a high-end French resort brand under a globally renowned travel and hospitality group. Known for its innovative "all-inclusive" vacation concept, the brand offers comprehensive services, including accommodation, dining, entertainment, sports, and childcare.

Since entering the Chinese market in the early 2000s, it has operated multiple resorts and is now developing a WeChat Mini Program to manage check-ins, dining reservations, activity bookings, and more.

Challenges

The client aimed to unify and elevate the digital presence of its Chinese resorts, optimize existing digital products, and migrate complex offline processes to a WeChat Mini Program. This would streamline the guest experience, strengthen member engagement, and improve loyalty.

TMO restructured the client’s UX framework, simplified workflows, and clarified user roles and statuses. We consolidated touchpoints into a unified system, delivering clearer digital processes and an optimized customer journey. Redesigned User Interface​

TMO created a modern, brand-aligned UI that supports multi-resort operations, enabling effortless theme switching and layout deployment. We designed intuitive interfaces and journeys for complex functions like guest verification, activity bookings, dining reservations, and room service.

WeChat-Integrated User Experience​

The Mini Program delivers seamless WeChat-native UX with clean layouts and efficient workflows. Users complete core tasks in 2-3 steps and receive real-time service alerts via WeChat subscriptions, aligning with the platform’s fast-paced usage habits.

Localized Brand Experience​

The interface adheres to global brand guidelines while adapting to Chinese users’ browsing preferences. We preserved brand VI (colors, typography, graphics) while optimizing information hierarchy, navigation paths, and visual contrast for better readability and efficiency.

Defined Requirement Analysis Framework​

TMO conducted stakeholder interviews, requirement analysis, and digital strategy formulation. We established a structured requirement template to streamline complex needs, guiding subsequent design and development. Agile methodology ensured flexibility to adapt to evolving client demands.
