A report from VentureBeat said that in 2014, mobile technology will not be a totally new thing. New service providers are springing up like mushrooms. What’s more, app developers can reap a handsome payback. This year, these 4 kinds of app have a great role to play in that development, but face challenges.

1. Mobile Commerce

eCommerce giants are always following the trend of the mobile world. Most of them put millions of money into their mobile apps in order to make sure the growth of user and improve the mobile market share. To be honest, there are still a mount of mobile users regard mobile apps as search or discovery tools. Then they finish transactions through desktops.

What will be the greatest change for mobile commerce field? That is mobile deep linking. In the context of the mobile apps, deep linking consists of using a uniform resource identifier (URI) that links to a specific location within a mobile app rather than simply launching the app.

2. Mobile Games

In 2014 there are two highly successful mobile games, “Candy Crush” and “Clash of Clans”. In the game ranking table of app store, there are 75% of games are similar to these two games. Not only for these two games are frequently copied, a game called “2048” also attracted more than 600 copycat products.

3. Practical Tools

Practical tools are things that can change our lives. It includes antivirus apps, desktop, media and so on. There has also been different leaders in each field. Basically, there are only 3% of users would like to pay for that. But along with the emerge of native ads, we already found the balance between user experience and marketing promotion.

4. Social Tools

It seems that we don’t need to sign up any accounts because Facebook bought WhatsApp and Instagram at the beginning of 2014. There are also many social media tools for example Snapchat, Tango are sharing this piece of cake. Probably there will be more consolidation  in the future.
