Beware of accounts impersonating TMO Group!

To our users and the public:

It has come to our attention that fraudulent social media and messaging accounts are falsely claiming affiliation with TMO Group and using our name, logo, and business description to promote misleading job offers, task-based income schemes, and referral programs.

Be aware that our only official domains remain tmogroup.asia and tmogroup.com.cn, and that we do not offer any e-shop investment schemes such as:

  • Part-time or full-time jobs via Telegram, WhatsApp, LINE, or private messaging groups
  • Task-based income, referral commissions, or incentive programs
  • “E-commerce tasks”, “account activation”, “TikTok account rental”, or similar schemes
  • Any form of investment, guaranteed returns, or paid task systems

Any account or post claiming otherwise is acting without authorization.

TMO Group actively monitors impersonation cases and works with platform operators where possible to address fraudulent activity.

Common signs of impersonation and task-based scams

We have observed fraudulent accounts using variations of the following claims while impersonating TMO Group:

  • Recruiting large numbers of part-time workers for “simple online tasks”
  • Promising fast or guaranteed income for completing tasks or inviting others
  • Requesting users to register, activate, or “rent” social media accounts
  • Asking users to link bank accounts or provide personal information
  • Using referral rewards or tiered commission structures

These patterns are commonly associated with impersonation and task-based scams and should be treated with caution. Please note that such accounts and groups may change names, handles, or platforms over time.

How to stay safe

To protect yourself:

  • Do not engage with accounts promoting jobs, tasks, or income opportunities under the TMO Group name outside our official channels
  • Do not follow external links or join private groups claiming to represent TMO Group
  • Do not provide personal, banking, or identification information
  • Report suspicious accounts or posts directly on the relevant platform
