Tech Lead

TMO is currently recruiting a technical lead having strong technical background in PHP and Magento 2 good communication skills in English/Chinese and can communicate & mentor / train other application developers to improve knowledge & skills. The right candidate should be able to handle a team of developers an translate business requirements into technical designs that meet the business objectives.

IT Engineering / Development

  • Strong background as a Developer / programmer with a minimal of 4 years of experience in Objective PHP programming
  • Full understanding of Magento 2.0 framework and gained minimum 2 years of experience extending and developing modules
  • Write clean, well-engineered code that comply with accepted standards, and test web applications.
  • Have excellent database design and implementation skills.
  • Should understand technical implications and project requirements of customer business requirements and provide estimates
  • Should understand the goals and strategy behind each project from conception to completion
  • Work together with the System Engineer in setting up local environments and staging platforms in the Cloud Cross-function
  • Report in cross-function to the GM and Project Responsible for internal training and project follow-up
  • Work together in a cross-functional structure with our Project Responsible for internal training and project follow-up
  • Will actively lead meetings with the technical team in order to report technical issues and discuss future improvements of team skills.

Leadership & Training

  • Work both independently and as a lead to help mentor/train other application developers so that over time they improve their knowledge of the Magento 2 platform
  • Take an active role in coaching developers to increase their skills through training & online documentation
  • Work on documentation that can transfer knowledge and benefit your team
  • Work with the Project Responsible for providing additional technical support and training to improve the skills of the development team

Customer Focus

  • Deliver best quality technical solutions within the agreed scope
  • First-line of communication between the project manager and the client
  • Escalate and notify any irregularities one time to reach the client
  • Lead internal meetings but also able to participate in client meetings


  • 4-6 years experience in Object Oriented PHP programming
  • More than 2 years experience in Magento 2.0 development
  • Handle a team of developers
  • Experience on extending and developing modules
  • Experience on 3rd party extensions
  • Analytical skill converting requirements into functional requirements and estimates
  • Problem-solving on technical level
  • A good team player with good communication skills
  • Good spoken & written English.
  • Knowledge on the China Digital Ecosystem
