eCommerce Manager

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing e-commerce strategies, plans and activities partnering with key partners and platforms (Tmall Global / Wechat - Social Commerce) in China, to achieve set business objectives, build brand awareness in online platforms and touch points in China for assigned brands. Work closely with e-retail partners and external TP vendors/ distributors to develop online marketing & merchandising plans to drive sales while maintaining the individual brands aesthetics and offering customers a truly branding online shopping experience.
  • This position will report to the Business Director and will communicate and collaborate closely with internal teams/ cross departments/ functions to achieve business goals.
  • The successful candidate will leverage their proficiency in eComm commercial and digital marketing experience.
  • Work with China eCommerce Director & global Digital & Marketing team to create and implement the eComm commercial and digital strategies, with the objectives to build brand relevance and gain market share.
  • Deliver annual, quarterly and monthly eComm business objectives by brand, including but not limited to Gross Merchandising Value (GMV), Net Sales, Unique Visitors, Conversion Rate, # of brand followers in eComm platforms with regular and timely forecast and communication to internal key stakeholders.

eCommerce Commercial Calendar Development and Management

  • Liaise with Merchandising, Marketing and HQ team to develop commercial calendars based on eCommerce and overall brand calendars for implementation and increase visibility in eCommerce platforms (Tmall Global / Wechat - Social).
  • Plan for digital & eCommerce campaigns and activities on annual/month/week basis.
  • Develop strong eComm merchandising plans to meet the needs for key online windows.

Consumer Experience & Engagement Management

  • Build and own the strategy for the consumer journey across all digital touchpoints focusing on customer acquisition, engagement and retention.
  • Work with HQ and local marketing teams to identify creative needs for digital plan, manage and execute briefs to enrich the digital consumer journey.
  • Be the dedicated contact person for local marketing teams to provide guidance and share best practice across local digital plans.

Customer & Vendor Management

  • Build strong partnership with key contacts of eComm platforms with regular communication and meetings.
  • Understand clearly the platform requirement on key projects and business windows to maximize business opportunity.
  • Lead and partner with TP teams to ensure good planning and execution of eComm operation.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Manage eComm marketing and promotion budget.
  • Up-to-date tracking the expense and accruals with supporting document.
  • Source, evaluate, recommend and manage various suppliers to ensure that needs objectives are effectively achieved at the best possible price.
  • Perform regular planning analysis, review and improve return on advertising spend (ROAS).
  • Vendors payment arrangement.
  • Be aware of competitive marketplace and of consumer trends.
  • Build network and relationship and act as a partner with HQ & regional teams.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above is required.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in working in similar level of eComm or e-marketing roles in e-commerce environment.
  • Strong in managing relationship with key online platforms and develop customized plans to ensure continuous growth.
  • Experience in managing TP and strong skill sets in online store operations.
  • Capability of on-line marketing and digital is desirable.
  • Rich project management experience.
  • Deep insights on current marketing trends, including personalization, targeting and data-driven planning.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
